happy grades meal
Tonight was an easy dinner night, but the food was very good. We had pork chops cooked on the grill and served with sauteed shallots on a bed of spinach with sesame shiitake dressing. There's also some corn hiding back behind the pork. It was a nice change from the things I've been eating lately.
For dessert there was an Italian dessert that I made the other day. I made it to get rid of some cream cheese and mascarpone cheese that I had left over from other things. The recipe came from Bon Appétit magazine. It is called Cream Cheese Crostata with Orange Marmalade. I think it turned out really well. Dad especially likes it. Every time he has a slice he ends up getting seconds. There have been lots of good discoveries lately. Here's hoping that my cooking won't have to end for the month.
