Green foods

After nights of student food as documented in the last post, I finally got a chance to eat some real food the other night. I decided to make it a "green night." We started out with a spinach salad with cranberry walnut dressing. I thought it was nice.

After that we had fettucini carbonara. I say that's what it was because I've had it before, but all I could remember it being was fettucini with alfredo sauce and bacon and possibly chicken. So, honestly I'm not too sure what actually makes it carbonara, but I just wanted to make something up. We used spinach noodles and added broccoli and pine nuts. Dad was very impressed. He even said he had fun helping me make it (I made him cook the meat). It was a good change from the snack meals.
