Finally...
...time for an update.
Although you'd never know it from my lack of posting, I have been doing some cooking lately. My perfect plan to use rhubarb and buttermilk in a recipe was thwarted by the person who sold us her ice cream maker deciding she wanted it back. So, we sold it back to her, but now I have to get a new one because everyone in the house is addicted to homemade ice cream now. So, hopefully that will happen soon, but in the meantime I had to use that buttermilk for something. I decided to make a pie! Here is the recipe I used. I did not make the raspberry sauce for the very good reason that I didn't have any raspberries, but I used some raspberry preserves instead and that tasted just fine to me.

Erin, this is great~! The whole blog-site I mean. I don't know what is the best - your descriptions or your photographs. Everything is so yummy-looking. I shouldn't have looked at this on an empty stomach! My mouth is watering and I have to go cook.
We are barbecueing chicken (with Stubbs BBQ sauce) and having hoppin-john (blackeyed peas and rice) with a cucumber/tomato/onion salad on a bed of arugula.
To drink, a Spanish rioja.
Breyers Mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.
Not nearly as epicurian as you, but I knew you'd still want to know!
