Cherry tomato sauce
Tonight for dinner I decided to use my cherry tomatoes to make a tomato sauce that I saw on Adam's website. The recipe can be found here. I didn't eat this with pasta, but I think it would be quite good with pasta if one wanted to use it for that purpose. I didn't really have a dinner plan, so I was just putting things randomly together. Instead of pasta (since I just had it the night before) I decided to make shrimp to go with my cherry tomato sauce. I thought it worked out pretty well, even though it was really simple. Here it is:
After sampling the sauce I came to the conclusion that it would be a good bruschetta-ish topping for toast. Clearly I had to test this theory, so I took some multigrain sourdough bread that we had from the Publix bakery and toasted a piece so I could top it with this sauce. As I figured it should be, it was quite good. The sauce it pretty sweet on it's own, if I had added the pepper like Adam suggests in the recipe it might have been a little less so, but I didn't want my sauce to be spicy, so there you have it. I would definitely make this sauce again to go with pasta or bread (or both!)
