Love is a poor man’s food. Don’t prophesize...
Today's title is a quote from a Ray LaMontagne song called Hold You In My Arms. I found a bunch of Ray's live songs today and I've been listening to them for quite some time now, it almost like going to the concert all over again. I think the quote is also relevant to the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which I finally saw today. Anyway, I survived my first week back in classes, and I finally got a chance to make a real dinner tonight. It was somewhat inspired by the movie because Charlie and his family eat cabbage soup all the time. When I went to the grocery today, I saw some cabbage and decided to get it (but I didn't make soup). I had a nice piece of tilapia with some cabbage (which I did boil) and there were green beans involved as well. Here we are:
This was all very satisfying, and a nice change of pace from hurried or incomplete meals that I've been having lately. Also, since I saw a movie with so much candy and chocolate and whatnot today, I had to have something for dessert. That something ended up being a Coke float. My little brother came in the room as I was assembling this and got really excited and wanted to have one himself. It seemed like a somewhat playful thing to have for dessert (foam, liquid, ice cream...), and it was good. We even had Coke glasses to go with the beverage.
