Pizza night

Tonight Dad was going out to a concert, but I was going to be home. So, I decided to make dinner for Jon and Chipp who was coming in to visit from out of town. My only plan was to make pizza and have lemon cake for dessert, but that ended up being a good enough plan. I made two big pizzas, one round one

and one large rectangle. I didn't get a picture of the rectangle pizza because I was too busy cutting and eating it, but it was great tasting and weirder looking. The round pizza had tomato sauce on one side, and red pepper pesto on the other. It was topped with Italian cheese blend, red and green peppers, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. I thought it was especially good and fresh tasting, but it wasn't necessarily my favorite pizza.

The rectangle pizza had three different sections to it. One section had pesto with mozzarella, tomato, and basil on top. The next section had tomato sauce, Italian cheese, some sausage, some pepperoni, and some prochuttio. The final section had tomato sauce, mozzarella, caramelized onions, bacon pieces, and prochuttio. That last section might have been my favorite. But anyway, every one seemed to really enjoy the pizza. Chipp and Jon both tried all of the variations and raved about each of them. I made a lot of pizza, but there weren't many leftovers. For dessert I pulled out the lemon cake and everyone seemed to enjoy that as well, both Chipp and Jon had seconds. I think I was successful as hostess of the evening, I had a good time.
