Old standby, new favorite

Tonight for dinner we had one of the familiar pork tenderloin meals. This was a repeat making of our now favorite Everyday Food recipe for apricot glazed pork tenderloin. It's fast, it's easy, and it always tastes good, so it is the old standby.

Tonight however, we had it with something new! I made Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Thyme. I thought this was a really good way to eat brussel sprouts, Dad agreed and declared it one of his favorite meals of all time (in the top 5).

In addition there were also cinnamon apples that tossed in a pan and cooked slowly while I was preparing everything else. Those were good too, and it was a perfect way to use up the apples we had sitting around.

The whole meal was a lovely combination of textures and flavors that complemented each other.
