Spring dinner

I got a later start tonight, but that didn't keep me from making what I planned and getting good results. In fact, this is the best salmon I've cooked at home so far. I made salmon with roasted asparagus and lemon-caper sauce. My salmon usually comes out fine, but this one had more flavor, I liked it. I wanted to make salmon and I wanted to make asparagus (since it is in season after all). I had two separate recipes that I was going to make, but then I found this recipe on Epicurious, and I decided to try this instead. I was very happy with the way it turned out, but I did have to follow reviewer comments and use the sauce for cooking and then make some extra to pour on at the end. I think it works out better that way, so I was happy with the altered results. Here it is:

For dessert I had Pomegranate Sorbet It had a nice sophisticated taste, and it was refreshing. The pomegranate almost gave it a nutty flavor. I mean, it tastes like pomegranate, but it's interesting. It was a worthy second project for my ice cream maker.
