Adventures with chicken - part 1
I'm doing a double post tonight. Last night Dad and I made steaks and we had an extra one so we invited Ritchie over to join us. He came and brought a salad which was really good and deserved a picture. It had romaine, radacchio, carrots, cucumber, radishes, and a raspberry balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It was very nice and fresh.

Tonight I was on my own and found a recipe on the food network that I wanted to try. It was called Sauteed Chicken Breasts with Fresh Herbs and Ginger. I really liked it, it was light and flavorful. To go with it I chopped up some garlic, carrots, onion, and squash and sauteed them all together to make a Ru-San's-esque vegetable side dish. It smelled really good when it was cooking, and I liked it a lot. I will have to make this sort of thing more often!

For dessert I made a pecan and nectarine gratin based on a recipe I found on the Chocolate and Zucchini website. It was good, but the apple-fig crisp is still my favorite.
