Best Burger Recipe
Here we are, the day before Father's Day, and inspiration struck! There was a recipe on epicurious for Napa Valley Cabernet Burgers. I thought it sounded like a winner. As luck would have it, Dad had the same idea. It was the epitome of a moist flavorful burger. We got focaccia bread from Whole Foods and heirloom tomatoes plus a nice aged cheddar and arugula to go on top. The burger itself with the cabernet and shallot addition was to die for! Here is the picture, which doesn't begin to do it justice.
Also, I won't name any names, but someone put the top half of my bun on the hamburger before I could add the toppings or photograph, so that destroyed the pretty melted cheese, but it was there, trust me. This burger does not need ketchup or mustard or any accouterments other than what is provided for in the recipe. Yum!
