Dad's Birthday
For my Dad's 55th birthday I gave him a panini press. After opening it in the afternoon, we went straight to work using it. I made a sandwich with arugula, chicken, mozzarella cheese, and tomato. I ate it with apple slices and apple cider. Just look at how pretty this is:
I got those flowers out of the back yard, aren't they nice?
For dinner we went out to a restaurant in Decatur called Figo. I had never even heard of it before, but it ended up being really good and fresh, plus the portions were huge. I got a caesar salad and spinach fettucini with tomato, basil, mozzarella balls and grated ricotta on top. It was so good, I can't recall the last time I ate out and had pasta with ingredients that fresh.
