Variety is the spice of life

This was one feast of a dinner. Having had chicken and fish on so many previous nights we decided it was time for some meat. Then the shrimp at the grocery was so tempting that we ended up going for surf and turf. So, we cooked the steaks with red onions and we cooked the shrimp with the sauce I made last time I had shrimp. Emily really liked the sauce, she agrees that it's a good recipe too. For side dishes Emily made green beans almondine and I made minted zucchini and tomato. I wanted to use up the rest of my mint before it went bad. Anyway, the variety wasn't bad, there was something for everyone, it was just a feast. This is what it all looked like:
